Iowa Cinema Events Coalition was developed in recognition of the increasing number of film festivals and film-related events springing up all across the state. Iowa is poised to be a major force in the filmmaking industry and film events will play a large role in developing the Iowa cinema culture.

Iowa Digital Filmmakers Guild was formed by a group of filmmakers to share their talents and draw on each other’s knowledge, skills and connections in their efforts at making films. The IDFG is dedicated to promoting filmmaking in Iowa and to building a community of and for digital filmmakers. The IDFG helps with the production and promotion of the member’s creations and development of venues for independent film in Iowa through group screenings and film festivals and through improving distribution channels.

Bluebox Limited - Independent filmmaking in Iowa, headed up by young filmmakers Scott Beck & Bryan Wood. They've created 14 shorts and 4 features and have achieved success with Project Greenlight and MTV Films.

Lake County Film Festival - The owners of Dog Ear Music & Movies saw how hungry their customers were for great independent cinema. Movie lovers of all ages and walk of life come to the store looking for something they cannot find at the local cineplexes. In 2004, they decided to change that and the Lake County Film Festival was born.
