Economic Development

The Tipton Economic Development Corporation (TEDCO) is actively seeking quality, community minded businesses to join our progressive community. Building for the future, several city infrastructure projects have been completed with additional projects slated for completion over the next several years. City owned and operated utilities have been extended to the Tipton Industrial Park. Easy accesses to Interstate 80 is 9 miles to the south and to US Hwy. 30 9 miles to the north are available via state Hwy. 38.

The TEDCO Board is comprised of 10 volunteer community members who coordinate with the City of Tipton and other volunteer groups to promote and support community based economic development initiatives.

TEDCO owns 35 acres of commercial development property on the south edge of the city with 14 acres in build ready status. Infrastructure including roads, utilities and high speed internet connection is in place to service the build ready lots with future development initiatives being planned for the remaining park. The group also holds options on an adjoining 158 acres available for large development projects.
