Incentives

The City of Tipton has established Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts for economic development purposes. County and City tax exemptions may be available for new or expanding manufacturing and commercial enterprises.

For property located in the Tipton TIF district, the City Council may use the proceeds resulting from the increase in taxable valuation due to construction of new manufacturing or commercial facilities to provide economic assistance to businesses.
