Tour of Homes
One need only take a few minutes and drive down any Tipton street to be dazzled by a wide array of historic Victorian-era homes. From folk-style, 'gingerbread'-laced houses to elaborate queen-anne palaces complete with turrets and stained glass windows, the collection of beautiful, restored historical residences in Tipton is one of a kind.
The 'Tipton Painted Lady' driving tour of homes takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete, depending on your pace. Some choose to make a day of it and walk the tour, stopping for lunch at one of our many dining establishments.
Printed tour guides are available at various downtown business locations and provide photographs, backgrounds, and directions to each of the approximately 25 homes selected for the tour. There are too many victorian homes to list in the guide, but you'll see them on the tour!
